Strategic and practical UX

Course Summary

The vast majority of companies today choose to use agile development methods.
UX is an important part of all digital service development.
So, how to best combine UX with agile development both on a strategic and practical level?
In this course, we dive deep into what UX strategies mean and how we can practically use these in the daily development work for different types of projects and in different types of organizations.

Once you have completed the course, you can:

  • Strategies for UX
  • Understand what has direct and indirect impact on UX work in agile organizations.
  • Business and customer value communication strategies with an active agile UX and user-centered approach.
  • Review of Service Design and Design thinking.
  • How to communicate within the project but also to other stakeholders how UX works in practice and what is required to work user-centered.
  • Be better able to take responsibility for and drive the UX area forward by:
  • Understand the UX role and its different contents regarding competence orientations
  • Know the value of different types of UX deliverables and how they can be used in development work
  • Understand how UX tools, such as audience data analysis wizards, mockup & prototyping tools, work.
  • Be familiar with several different methods of working with UX in the project.
  • Professional workshop management with a focus on UX deliverables and design

You will also receive all the results of all the exercises produced by you and the other participants, as well as access to our reference library which is continuously updated.

The training is aimed at those who will order, require or develop interfaces, services or functions to be delivered with a high focus on UX. You can e.g. be a UX designer, web/app developer, programmer, project manager, Scrum Master or requirements developer.

The program assumes that you have some experience with UX and agile development

This course has no certification

Strategic agile UX in action: What is stragic UX? What is a UX strategy? How does organizational “maturity” affect UX work? What are the trends in UX?

What are the challenges of UX work in agile development environments? How do we practically organize the work so that both the agile and UX not only work but create synergies?

We work from our own situation – What is the situation in our own organization? What is working? What is not working? What are the opportunities for improvement? We start from the organization and the participants’ situation in terms of the maturity of work processes, skills and different roles and see how to work forward.

We also work with different UX deliveries for different phases from User Research to requirements – Personas, Customer Journeys, Impact Management, Problem Statements, User Stores etc.

Finally, we work on how to best work with workshop management in terms of UX.

An important part of the course is that we always have a high level of activity among the participants, including practical exercises
