Course Summary

This course is for those who want to learn the TCP/IP protocol in detail, at a technically advanced level.
The TCP/IP architecture is reviewed together with protocols related to it.The course also covers routing in TCP/IP-based networks. The course includes a number of exercises that together form a whole.
The exercises each focus on the material just covered.

  • the TCP/IP architecture and its protocols
  • Making an IP address plan for a larger network.
  • How TCP/IP networks are structured, the administration required and the tools used for troubleshooting.
  • Know which services can be configured and managed in a TCP/IP network (Intranet/Internet).
  • How TCP/IP is evolving and who is in charge.
  • How IP works together with underlying network services (links) in LAN and WAN.

The course is for those who want to learn the TCP/IP protocol in detail, at a technical level. We alternate theory and practice and go through the TCP/IP architecture and protocols related to it. The course also covers routing in TCP/IP-based networks.

Knowledge of network technology and data communication.

This training is delivered by Jörgen Strandberg

Jörgen is an IT consultant with over 40 years of experience in various areas from hardware to architecture, security and program development. For several years, the focus was on design and security in large IT systems at private and public actors. Jörgen is probably one of the most certified consultants in Sweden with about 70 certifications from Microsoft, VMware, Symantec, HDI etc.

Today Jörgen works with developing advanced software for secure integration of external data sources into internal systems. Jörgen enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience and has been training at informator since 1996.
