Forget about Thanksgiving, Black Week, and Black Friday. The past seven days (and likely, the next seven as well) are THE ALTMAN WEEK. More seriously, it puts its finger on the weak spot of big data and of the even bigger cost (and <\/a>carbon footprint<\/a>) of keeping it up-to-date. Let\u2019s keep in mind innovation of data architecture and new ML algorithms as well.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Generative Fun<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I asked generative AI (both NewBing and ChatGPT) on the Sunday<\/strong> after, why Sam Altman was leaving his own team. Both use the same GAI, so both answered that he was employed and had never quit. \u201cBased on many reliable sources\u201d and references. Well, Altman came back the following day, so maybe their GAI is becoming Clairvoyant? Hardly. I suppose rather just crunching through huge outdated\/low-quality training-data sets (the larger, the harder to keep them up to date \u2013 no big surprise to data architects or analysts).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, a week after<\/strong>, I asked NewBing why both gave me a wrong answer on Sunday. Here we go:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, no big surprise to data architects or analysts.
