Direct Plan and Improve – ITIL Strategist

This course is aimed at managers of all levels involved in shaping direction and strategy or developing a continually improving team. It will cover both practical and strategic elements.

It covers the influence and impact of Agile and Lean ways of working, and how they can be leveraged to an organization's advantage.

The objective is to provide individuals with the practical skills necessary to create a 'learning and improving' IT organization, with a strong and effective strategic direction and also to provide practitioners with a practical and strategic method for planning and delivering continual improvement with necessary agility.

Audience

- individuals continuing of their journey in service management
- ITSM managers and aspiring ITSM managers
- managers of all levels involved in shaping direction and strategy or developing a continually improving team
- existing ITIL qualification holders wishing to develop their knowledge.

Prior knowledge

The ITIL Managing Professional modules mandates completion of ITIL 4 Foundation as a prerequisite.

Certification

ITIL Managing Professional integrates three specialist modules (Create, Deliver & Support, Drive Stakeholder Value, and High Velocity IT) and the ITIL Strategist Direct, Plan & Improve module. All modules are valuable independently but all 4 must be completed to obtain the ITIL Managing Professional designation.

After achieving the ITIL Managing Professional designation, if the candidate is interested in pursuing the ITIL Strategic Leader stream, they would only need to complete the ITIL Leader Digital & Strategy module.

Certification is included in the course price.

The purpose of the ITIL 4 Direct Plan and Improve Qualification is:
-to provide the candidate with the practical skills necessary to create a ‘learning and improving’ IT organization, with a strong and effective strategic direction.
-to provide practitioners with a practical and strategic method for planning and delivering continual improvement with the necessary agility

Learning Outcomes:

- Understand The Key Concepts of Direct, Plan & Improve

- The scope of what is to be directed and/or planned, and know how to use key principles and methods of direction and planning in that context

- The role of GRC and know how to integrate the principles and methods into the service value system and know how to use the key principles and methods of continual improvement for all types of improvements 

- Understand and know how to use the key principles and methods of Communication and Organizational Change Management to direction, planning and improvement
