Event Management Fundamentals

In this two-day course, attendees will learn how to enable service-centric operations management by configuring Event Management in their ServiceNow system.

Audience

This course is designed for IT Operations Management personnel and others in a company who work with events and alerts as they pertain to infrastructure equipment.

Prior knowledge

The ServiceNow Foundations eLearning course – six modules that introduce the ServiceNow platform and interface.

  • Capture and record Events in ServiceNow
  • Overview of Discovery and Service Mapping
  • Generate meaningful Alerts from Events in ServiceNow
  • Create actionable tasks, such as Incidents, from Alerts
  • Configure SolarWinds and iReasoning to create Events
  • Use workflows to automatically remediate server issues
  • Create reports based on Event and Alert information
