Förklarar hur man definierar testledningsuppgifter utifrån projektets kontext och hur testaktiviteter anpassas till den aktuella mjukvarulivscykeln samt olika testnivåer och testtyper. Riskbaserad testning för prioritering och resursfördelning gås igenom, med betoning på hantering av produktrisker. Vi går även igenom hur man väljer en lämplig teststrategi som ligger i linje med projektets olika förutsättningar.
Deltagarna får lära sig de generella stegen för att genomföra ett standardiserat förbättringsinitiativ för testprocesser och hur man tar fram en testförbättringsplan med hjälp av modeller för testprocessförbättring, såsom TMMi och TPI Next.
Kapitlet avslutas med hur man använder testverktyg för att göra testningen mer effektiv, inklusive goda metoder för att införa ett verktyg, hur man väljer rätt verktyg och hur man drar nytta av det genom att samla in relevanta mätetal.
