Project management with Agile methods

Project management with Agile methods

Course Summary

This course gives you a taste of several different agile methods.
You will learn how to combine these with traditional project methodology and be given the opportunity to pick out the parts that suit you and your project best.
Agile project management is about running projects in a smoother and more efficient way.
Working agile means, among other things, working in short steps to be able to act quickly on changes and to involve the customer in a structured way throughout the project.

After the course, you will have a better understanding of the conditions required to apply agile working methods in a project. You will also better understand what is different and what is similar, depending on whether you choose to implement a project agile or traditional. You will also be able to connect agile methodology and roles with a traditional methodology/project roles and use parts of both worlds in the same project.

We place great emphasis on the organization’s ability to be agile and focus on “new ways of thinking” rather than “getting stuck in models”. You will gain insight into the advantages and disadvantages of the different ways of working and examples of best practice from several different organizations – organizations that strive for the agility required to constantly improve and develop continuously with their business. The course includes many practical exercises, exchanges of experience and practical advice.

Project managers, project members, team leaders, line managers, process owners, change managers etc. Anyone who is curious about how agile methods can be applied in their industry or organization. It is suitable for those who see a need to become more agile without letting go of the old project methodology. The course provides a broad overview suitable for many different roles. The content is suitable for service companies as well as for manufacturing and for both private and public sectors.

Experience in project work and project management is recommended. You do not need to have knowledge of system development as this course focuses on agility regardless of industry.
