Red Hat OpenStack Administration II: Day 2 Operations for Cloud Operators (CL210) is designed for cloud operators, service administrators, and automation engineers who work with the operation and management of a full hybrid and private cloud environment based on the Red Hat OpenStack Platform. You’ll learn how to manage, monitor, troubleshoot, and scale a Red Hat OpenStack Platform infrastructure. The course focuses on using the OpenStack Client command-line interface to configure metrics, policies, and architecture to support enterprise applications and day-to-day operations.

The course is based on Red Hat OpenStack version 16.1 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 8.2.

Course Objective

Course participants learn how to operate and manage an installation of Red Hat OpenStack Platform with all common core features and services used by enterprise customers in private and hybrid cloud environments. Participants who successfully complete the course will be able to monitor, troubleshoot, and automate the operation of resources and services for compute, storage, networking, deployment, and application support tailored to the needs of the business.

  • Container technology management for overcloud services.
  • Provision of metrics for performance optimization and governance.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting network flows in Open Virtual Networking (OVN).
  • Configuring the identity service with an external Red Hat IdM storage.
  • Handling of the control plane, including the Pacemaker.
  • Customization of images for multiple uses.
  • Back-end storage management for block and object storage.
  • Management of compute nodes, including optimization and hyperconverged solutions.
  • Troubleshooting Red Hat OpenStack Platform.
