Course content
What is a sprint?
A sprint is a time-limited work cycle, typically 1-4 weeks, during which the team delivers a concrete outcome. At the end of each sprint, the work is evaluated and the next sprint is planned.
What is the difference between Product Backlog and Sprint Backlog?
The Product Backlog is the entire list of desired features and changes, prioritized by the Product Owner. The Sprint Backlog is the subset that the team commits to delivering during a specific sprint.
When is Scrum better than Kanban?
Scrum is suitable when the team needs structure with defined roles, sprint planning, and rule-bound retrospectives. Kanban is better suited for continuous flows without fixed iterations, such as in support or operations teams.
Can agile methods be used outside of IT?
Yes. Agile principles are used today in marketing, HR, product development, and project management in many industries. The core – iterative work, quick feedback, and adaptability – is not tied to IT.
