CL270 OpenStack Administration II: Deploy Control Plane Services and Manage Data Plane Nodes

Course overview

OpenStack Administration II (CL270) provides participants with hands-on skills in installing, configuring, and deploying Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift as well as managing external data plan nodes (EDPMs). The course focuses on how to build a working OpenStack cluster, how the control plane is deployed, and how data plane nodes are set up, scaled, and debugged to run user workloads.
Participants work with real-world scenarios where they install the necessary operators, create custom resources, and use EDPM automation to manage compute nodes. The course is based on Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift 18.

Scale and optimize OpenStack environments for real-world workloads

Recommended prerequisites:

RHCE certification or equivalent knowledge in Ansible automation and RHEL administration
CL170 – OpenStack Administration: Control Plane Management, or equivalent experience in basic administration of Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift

Customize the RHOSO cluster to support cloud users’ workloads
