Course overview

This training provides an in-depth understanding of how modern AI solutions are designed in an enterprise context – from target architecture and integration patterns to operations, governance, and further development. The focus is on creating robust, scalable and manageable AI systems with clear component responsibilities, well-defined interfaces and well-thought-out architecture choices.

During two days, central patterns for AI architecture, MLOps and LLMOps, integration of models and tools into existing system landscapes and how AI agents are designed for secure and structured communication with the outside world, for example through standards such as MCP.

The training is aimed at participants with prior knowledge in application development and architecture who want to strengthen their ability to design AI solutions that work long-term in production.

Course Objective

Here’s what you’ll get:

A two-day learning experience
Access to interactive walkthroughs and hands-on design exercises
Ability to design AI architecture based on accepted principles of modularity, loose coupling, scalability, security, and manageability
Understanding of central architectural patterns of AI systems, such as separation between application layers, orchestration, model access, tool calls, memory, observability, and policy enforcement
Knowledge of how established integration patterns and standards are used in AI solutions, including API contracts, event-driven architecture, and MCP for structured communication between agents and external tools
Understanding of how MLOps and LLMOps are built in practice, from version control and testing to deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement
Ability to identify risks and design for governance, traceability, and regulatory compliance in enterprise environments
Practical tools for developing target architecture and roadmap for the introduction of AI capabilities in existing system landscapes

Target Group

This training is for technical leaders and architects who will make decisions and drive the implementation of AI in larger organizations.

Prerequisites

Participants need to have prior knowledge of application development and architecture, for example:

Experience in backend development and working methods with APIs and system integration.
Basic understanding of architectural patterns, data flows and operations in production.
Used to reasoning about requirements, non-functional features and technical compromises.

Certification

This course does not have any associated certification. Each participant who completes the course receives a course certificate.

Trainer

This course is led by an experienced trainer, Patrik Jonsson from Brivalo, with a focus on enterprise architecture, MLOps and integration of AI systems in production environments.
