This course teaches IT professionals how to manage their Azure subscriptions, secure identities, administer infrastructure, configure virtual networks, connect Azure and on-premises sites, manage network traffic, implement storage solutions, create and scale virtual machines, implement web apps and containers, backup and share data, and monitor your solution.

Course Objective

Successful Azure administrators start their role with experience in operating systems, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, storage architectures and networking.

  • Understanding of on-premises virtualization technologies, including: VMs, virtual networks and virtual hard disks.
  • Understanding of network configuration, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
  • Understanding Active Directory concepts, including domains, forests, domain controllers, replication, Kerberos protocols, and LDAP.
  • Understanding of resilience and disaster recovery, including backup and recovery.

Target Group

This course is for Azure administrators.
The Azure administrator implements, manages, and monitors identity, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks in a cloud environment.
The Azure administrator will provision, provision, monitor, and adjust resources appropriately.

Prerequisites

Before participating in this course, participants must have:

  • Successful Azure administrators typically start in this role with experience in operating systems, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, storage structures, and networking.
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies in on-premises environments, including: virtual machines (VMs), virtual networks, and VHDs.
  • Understanding of network configuration, including TCP/IP, Domain Name System (DNS), virtual private networks (VPNs), firewalls, and encryption technologies.
  • Understanding Active Directory concepts, including domains, forests, domain controllers, replication, the Kerberos protocol, and the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
  • Understanding resilience (resilience) and disaster recovery, including backup and recovery.

Certification

This course prepares you for the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification.
