AZ-900 Introduction to Cloud Infrastructure

AZ-900 Introduction to Cloud Infrastructure

Course overview

This two-day course provides basic knowledge of core Azure concepts; core Azure services; security, privacy, compliance, and trust within Azure; and Azure pricing and support. It is intended for participants who are new to the cloud or Azure, as well as participants who have experience in on-premises IT environments and want to learn more about cloud services.

You get access to over 30 different labs to work with during and even 6 months after completing the course. This is a good way to deepen your knowledge in peace and learn exactly everything that is covered during the training.

Also see our courses in IT infrastructure, networking and architecture to develop your knowledge in modern IT environments, cloud solutions and system design.

Course Objective

After this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe concepts and distribution models within cloud services.
  • Explain the benefits of using cloud services to both individuals and organizations.
  • Identify and describe different types of cloud services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Describe the core architecture components of Microsoft Azure, including physical and management infrastructure.
  • Explain Azure’s compute, networking, and storage services and their uses.
  • Describe Azure’s identity, access, and security capabilities, including authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
  • Identify tools and capabilities for cost management, governance, resource management, and monitoring in Azure.

Target Group

This course is suitable for IT professionals who are just starting to work with Azure. This target group wants to learn more about our services and gain hands-on experience with the platform. The course primarily uses the Azure portal and command-line interface to create resources and does not require any scripting skills.
Participants in this course gain the confidence to advance to other role-based courses and certifications, such as Azure Administrator. The course combines lectures and demonstrations. It also helps participants prepare for the AZ-900 exam.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to take this course.
Familiarity with cloud computing is helpful, but not necessary.

Certification

This course prepares you for certification and helps you build the skills required for Microsoft certification AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals.

You’ll gain a basic understanding of cloud concepts, core Azure services, security, governance, and administration in Azure. The course content follows the areas measured in the AZ-900 certification and provides you with a solid foundation for further Azure study and certifications.

Trainer

We have several experienced trainers who hold this course. All of them have practical experience of Microsoft Azure, cloud services and modern IT infrastructure.
Depending on the course occasion and structure, the training can be carried out by different course leaders with specialist expertise in Azure and cloud.
