The DevOps Masterclass is an intensive three-day training that provides participants with a holistic view of modern DevOps, GitOps, and automation of infrastructure and application delivery. The course combines theory with extensive hands-on exercises and shows how leading tools work together to create efficient, scalable, and secure delivery platforms.
During the course, you will work with tools and technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS to build automated solutions for both infrastructure and application operations.

After the course you will be able to:

Understand the principles behind DevOps, GitOps, and Continuous Delivery.
Automate infrastructure provisioning with Infrastructure-as-Code.
Manage cloud and virtualization resources with Terraform.
Automate server configuration and operations with Ansible.
Build, publish, and manage containerized applications with Docker.

Prerequisites

Day 1

Introduction to DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, immutable infrastructure, idempotency principle, delivery pipelines, and GitOps.
Management of virtual and cloud resources with Infrastructure-as-Code, overview of tools, and building the first infrastructure pipeline with Terraform.
Management of multi-cloud and multi-data center environments with Terraform and Terraform modules.
Integration with traditional server provisioning tools such as Ansible.
Dynamic inventories, network management, building complex infrastructural delivery pipelines, and organizing teamwork and collaboration.

Day 2

Managing basic machine images with Packer.
Introduction to containers and container management.
Building and publishing container images, as well as running containers with Docker.
Implementing more advanced use cases with Docker Compose.
Using Kubernetes to run containerized workloads.
Using Helm Charts and Kubernetes Operators.
Utilization of service mesh features with Linkerd.

Day 3

Introduction to observability: logs, metrics, and traces.
Configuration of Prometheus jobs and exports, and creation of data sources and dashboards in Grafana.
DevSecOps: integration of lint tools, security policy controls, and vulnerability scanners.
Utilization of managed Function-as-a-Service (FaaS) services such as AWS Lambda, Chalice, and Serverless Framework.
Implementation of a chatbot for Slack for effective ChatOps.
Introduction to Chaos Engineering.
