Course Summary

A paradox of modern software development is that the more agile you are, the faster you react to customer requests, the more balls you have in the air at the same time, the greater the need for fixed points.
You need to remember what you’ve done on a project, how much you have left on it, how much time it took, what software was delivered to which customer and what documents you sent to them or received.
In short, you need support systems, but to remain agile, these systems must not get in the way of what you are trying to accomplish.
In the course, we go through Jira, Jira Agile, Confluence, Stash and Cognidox step by step.

In this course we will go through the following tools:

  • Jira from Atlassian – how it can be used and configured for case management, project management, support and much more.
  • Jira Agile – which has long been an add-on to Jira for agile development with Scrum and Kanban. As of Jira version 7.0, Jira Agile is included as part of the Jira Software product.
  • Confluence – Atlassian’s Wiki, which is deeply and seamlessly integrated with Jira and Jira Agile.
  • Stash – Atlassian’s tool to easily and graphically manage repos in Git and Mercurial, organize the development process, and quality assure and review code.
  • Cognidox – a flexible, complete and web-based document management system. With Cognidox, you always have control over your documents and always work with the right version.

The training can be complemented with our courses in Continuous Integration with Jenkins, Introduction of agile methods and the course in Git.

Used correctly, the tools covered in the course eliminate a large number of problems and allow companies to concentrate on what they are good at; delivering value to their customers.
