UGL is by far Sweden’s most in-demand leadership training.
Our entire society consists of different constellations and groups. The dynamic interaction between people may at first glance look arbitrary, but there are still general and clear patterns and mechanisms. During a UGL week, you will have the opportunity to gain insight into and understand these patterns and mechanisms.
UGL is primarily based on two proven theories: Susan A Wheelan’s research on group development and on the demands for leadership in the group’s different stages of maturity, and Will Schutz’s research on how the relationships between the individuals in the group affect the interaction and thus efficiency.
Group size: 8–12 participants. The training is led by certified supervisors. All supervisors are certified by the Swedish Defence University, which owns and continuously assures the quality of the education.
Please note that some teaching takes place in the evenings, which is why overnight stays are compulsory.
For accommodation and accommodation in connection with the course, there is a cost of SEK 10,000–12,000 depending on the place and occasion.
Most people who have attended a UGL training describe their five days as an experience rather than an education. Each individual’s experience is unique. Each group’s journey from total estrangement on day 1 to a certain stage of maturity on day 5 is unique to that particular group. Over five days, an individual and a shared experience is created that only these participants have been through – a shared journey that is not easy to explain to anyone who was not there. The recommendation usually is: go UGL and experience the trip yourself.
UGL is an education for those who want a deeper understanding of – and training in – group development, as well as seeing and being able to handle the consequences of the dynamics between individuals in a group. The training is aimed at managers, leaders and employees who want to develop themselves and others.
No special prior knowledge is required.
This course does not have any associated certification. Each participant who completes the course receives a course certificate.
This training is delivered in collaboration with one of Informator’s training partners. Informator collaborates with several, national and international, partners. These scheduled partner courses are booked through Informator and carried out by the respective partner.
No framework agreement discounts or other special promotions can be used on these courses.
Over five days, you will have the opportunity to practice your own leadership and get direct feedback on your way of influencing and exerting influence. The group is used as a learning instrument, creating unique situations where the link between theory and reality is clear and immediate. You will also learn about communication and conflict management. A UGL training includes about 48 hours of training in group development, leadership, process awareness and self-awareness.
