Something New AB has officially acquired the Swedish IT/Tech training business Informator from Finnish company Wetteri Oyj. The acquisition includes the entire training business, its well-known brand, employees, and all contractual commitments. Informator has been a market leader in professional IT/Tech training since 1990, offering both open and tailored courses for businesses and individuals across Sweden.
With this acquisition, Something New AB aims to leverage Informator’s strong reputation and enhance its offerings to meet the evolving demands of IT and technology education.
Ola Källgården, Informator’s newly appointed CEO, expressed his enthusiasm for the future: ”I am thrilled to lead Informator into its next phase. We will build on Informator’s strong legacy and partner network to improve our offering. The IT and tech learning landscape is rapidly changing, driven by new technologies and tools, and there’s immense potential to further improve the impact and experience of traditional IT training. We’ve already started to roll out updates to our course delivery methods, with more improvements on the way.”
Pauliina Lautanen-Nissi, former Business Director of Informator, also commented on the transition: ”It feels wonderful to have found a local owner for Informator. I’m confident that the future looks bright and that Something New is the ideal owner to take Informator forward.”
The acquisition strengthens Something New AB, the parent company of New Professional Minds AB, New Terms AB, and Tidio AB, expanding its portfolio of services in skills development, consulting, and recruitment.
