An AWS Jam is a gamified learning event to build a practical understanding of AWS services and best practices.

Target Group
AWS Jam can be tailored to suit different technical skill levels, from novice to seasoned professional and there are multiple different degrees and difficulty level challenges (easy, medium, hard). AWS Jam also gives a possibility to team up with colleagues from diverse roles (Developers, Architects, Security Specialist etc.) to find the most optimal solutions.
AWS Jam engagement types run two main types of events: team-based and self-paced which both types support fully remote operation mode.
Goal
By completing the challenges, the participants are learning how to use AWS services to solve problems and they are also learning the best practices associated with those services.
Game – Work to complete in gamified challenges across common AWS use-cases and operational tasks.
Learn – Learn and enhance your AWS skills by solving challenges designed to teach AWS best practices from different real-life topics.
Validate – Validate and track your AWS skills and progress using AWS provided infrastructure according to established best practices.
Prerequisites
Participation for AWS JAM event demands that you have completed at least one of the following courses:
- Architecting on AWS
- Advanced Architecting on AWS
- Developing on AWS
- Advanced Developing is AWS
- DevOps Engineering is AWS
- Security Engineering is AWS
- Cloud Operations on AWS (formerly called Systems Operations on AWS)
Course Content
In these learning events participants can experience a wide range of AWS services in a series of prepared scenarios that represent common use-cases and operational tasks. Through these challenges participants learn AWS best practices during interactive events designed for all different levels of expertise.
By completing the challenges, the participants learn how to use AWS services to solve problems and they are also learning the best practices associated with those services.
